Briefing: A Free Zombie Simulator Game in Your Browser
Corvick's Containment Contingency is a top-down multiplayer zombie simulator. Up to five officers hold a city of hundreds of civilians against an outbreak, and up to two players run the outbreak as the zombie dog. It runs in a browser tab: nothing to download, nothing to install, and free.
Classified · containment personnel only
The situation
The city has been sealed. Something came in at one edge of the map and it is spreading the only way it knows how: one bite at a time. Every civilian is a person with somewhere to be, who hides, runs, bolts doors, holds hands, panics, follows the crowd, or runs to whoever has a gun. Every one of them who turns is one more body walking toward you.
You are the containment detail. Your job is to put down every zombie in the city, including the dog, before there is nobody left to save. Scavenge houses for weapons and gear, call in backup on the radio, set up survivor beacons, and keep as many people alive as you can.
How to play
Press Play Online, create a lobby, and send your friends the invite link: opening it drops them straight into your lobby. Your browser tab hosts the game, so keep it open. Nobody else needs to set anything up. Or press Play Offline for a solo round with bots filling the other seats.
The host chooses how big the city is. More civilians means a bigger city and a longer, harder round. Any empty officer seat can be given to a bot, and so can a dog seat.

Winning and losing
The officers win when every zombie in the city is dead, the dog included. The outbreak wins when there is nobody left to turn. When the dog is killed it rises again out of one of the shamblers, so every zombie you put down is one less life for the dog as well.
Questions
Is it free? Do I need to install anything?
It is free and it runs in your browser. There is no download, no account and no install.
How do I play with friends?
Press Play Online, then Create Lobby, then Copy Invite Link, and send the link to your friends. They open it and land in your lobby. Your tab is the server, so keep it open for the whole round.
A friend cannot get into my lobby.
Check that they typed the code right, or have them use the invite link instead. Some phone hotspots and work networks block direct connections between players, so try a different network. If it still fails, ask on the Discord.
How many people can play?
Five officers and two zombie dogs. Bots can fill any empty seat, and you can also join a lobby as a spectator.
Can I play alone?
Yes. Play Offline starts a solo round with bot officers. You can pause it with Esc.
It runs slowly on my computer.
Lower the city size in the lobby, and in Options try the Low preset or a lower Resolution. The game is tested in Chrome first.
